Current Vaccinations/Veterinarian Information
By signing this contract, owners verify their pets are current on Rabies. Proof of Vaccination shall be provided to Rush Rover upon request as well as a current Veterinarian information. Special circumstances will be taken into consideration.
Aggressive or Dangerous Pets
Owners must inform Rush Rover if your pet(s) bite, has bitten, or aggressive toward people, other pets or specific grooming procedures. Muzzles may be used if necessary. Muzzling will not harm your pet and protects both the pet and the groomer. Rush Rover reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such pets(s) at any time before or during the grooming process. If the groomer chooses to groom your dog with aggressive behavior, there may be an additional charge in addition to the normal fee.
Health or Medical Problems & Senior Pets
Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior pet or pet with health problems and can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. Because senior pets and pets with health problems have a greater chance of injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in styles that will not add to their stress. In the best interest of your pet, this contract/agreement will give Rush Rover permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your pet should it be deemed necessary by Rush Rover. If you are unable or not at home, we will attempt to notify you before taking your pet to your authorized veterinarian or to the nearest Veterinarian that is available. It is agreed that all expenses for Veterinary care will be covered by the pet’s owner upon signing this contract/agreement.
Accidents
There is always the possibility an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations possible, problems could occur involving cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. In most cases this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around. It is extremely important that you avoid standing near the van, talking to your pet tor allow it to see you during the grooming process. This will cause your pet to become anxious, which could cause serious injury to your pet and or the groomer. Every effort will be made to insure your pet is groomed as safely as possible, but an excited pet can be dangerous to continue to work on. If you insist on talking to your pet, or the groomer, we reserve the right to end the grooming session, even if the groom is not completed, and the full grooming price will be charged.
Parasites
If you suspect your pet has fleas or ticks, prompt and thorough action on your part is needed. Flea infestations can lead to tapeworm and other health problems. If fleas or ticks are found during the grooming process, your pet will be treated with a product to kill the parasites and there will be an additional charge for this service. Ticks found will be removed, and we suggest you have your pet tested for Lyme disease. Please note that parasites are a health hazard to your pet as well as to humans.
Payments
It is the responsibility of the pet owner to pay for grooming fees in full at the end of the grooming session. You can pay online through our booking system or we accept cash, or a check written out to Rush Rover. There will be a $25.00 fee if a check is returned to us for non-sufficient funds.
No- shows & Cancellations: No shows and last-minute cancellations are subject to a $50.00 FEE PER PET which will be billed and mailed to you. We understand there may be emergency situations and we will work with you, but not on a continued basis. Please be respectful of our time as we are a by-appointment business, and another client could have taken your appointment time if we had known.
Hold Harmless Agreement
By signing this contract you (the pet owner) agrees to hold Rush Rover, its owners, operators, and employees, harmless from any damage, loss, or claim arising from any condition of the undersigned pet, either known or unknown to Rush Rover. It is also further understood and agreed the terms of this agreement can change at any time, without notice, and will overwrite any and all prior signed contracts or releases. It is further understood this clause applies to an and all pets groomed.
Matted Coats
Excessive undercoats cause a variety of health problems for your pet. Matted fur does not allow for air circulation to the skin, causing hot spots, bacterial and fungal infections. Fleas, ticks and other parasites may be lurking in the coat causing further skin infections. Matted fur also pulls and binds, causing pain to your pet when they move or lay in their mats. The skin underneath at times can be raw and inflamed.
Severely matted coats will require a short clip. I will be happy to show you how to care for your pet’s coat for the future, however, I cannot brush out a coat that is already severely matted due to the stress and pain it will undoubtedly cause your pet.
We may be able to remove excessive undercoat within reason and tolerance of your pet, although there is a chance that your pet’s skin will become more irritated during the shaving process. He/She may be nicked or cut because I have to work so closely to the skin to remove the matts. We are very careful, but the possibility of injury is there, and you need to be aware of this and give us permission to proceed. I hereby release Rush Rover LLC Mobile Grooming from any of the above-mentioned process and any and all medical problems that may be uncovered and/or may occur during the grooming process.
